Membership is FREE and you are partnered each month and we make each other a 12 inch quilt block based on our preferences which we swap. (12.5 inches raw edge to raw edge) The emphasis of the group is on friendship and sharing. To find out more or register to join email me on quiltingblocks@hotmail.com This purpose of this blog is to chat and showcase blocks and quilts made by members, kind of like a show and tell . A fill in block

Poor Carolyn of  Nerang in Queensland has had a run of bad luck with her swaps since she joined our group after reading the article that was published earlier this year in Quilters companion magazine.  As it turns out she has 3 swaps, overdue or just not happening.  I have been chasing these members for her and it seems that she may get two out of the three completed.

The main disappointment I have found is that there was little or no communication from her partners to her that the blocks were going to be late.  It is really not up to YOU to chase your block it is up to YOU to let your partner know that your block to them is going to be late.

To make amends for Carolyn I have made her a block this month.  One of her choices is Dutchman's puzzle and I love to do flying geese so that's what I picked.  Carolyn loves autumn colours, I hope this fits the bill Carolyn, Hugs, Sue

Stick with us Carolyn! What an unlucky start you've had.
